This Labrats new TAX policy will be a tax nightmare for IRD and “almost impossible” to find a figure to tax.
Anyone with two or more homes won’t sell — they rarely do — and the brightline is already a tax.
With Labour currently out of contention, as their Green and Māori friends are in chaos…
💬 The safe bet is on the current bunch to breeze into a second term.
👋 Goodbye Wayne GUPPY — Hello Perry Zee
Amalgamation, nepotism, and pocket parks in Upper Hutt. Total dominance of Andrew Little — $9 billion rates income over six years.
😠 Angry Andrew “do” Little in total and absolute control and presumably NZ’s fave unionist in charge of redundancies and efficiencies across the region’s councils, including GWRC!
What could possibly go wrong?
With Upper Hutt going to the beautiful, young, and equally brutal feminist Perry Zee — whose campaign form showed a mixture of Tory Whanau, Helen Clark, and Mother Theresa — she ran a nasty and at times ruthless & violent 12–14 month campaign.
With Guppy only running a short campaign, Zee did a “Tory Whanau” — in focus for 14 months. Congratulations were due.
Ultimately successful, it’s rumored Zee is currently looking to fire the CEO for not providing security, and “as is form in WLG,” hire her friends in prime positions.
Put in a novice with three strong women in the team — one assumes it won’t be long before “WLG happened all over again” but in little old Upper Hutt.
OneNetwork – Wellington Live looks at the Zee campaign and delves into why Campbell Barry, disgraced ex-Mayor of Lower Hutt, is so ecstatic at the fact that he sat behind Zee and drove an extremely ruthless team.
With Roz Connolly (GWRC Councillor) and Leader of the Opposition Chris Hipkins’ local election campaign manager, and the Labour Party, to oust Wayne Guppy.
With the leader of the opposition, Chippy Hipkins, calling Wayne Guppy months before the vote to advise that he was not personally behind the Labour Party backing Zee to oust him in Upper Hutt.
Guppy didn’t see the LAB rats ambush coming. 🐀🔥

Truth comes out eventually. Personally, I’ve had an apology from the CEO at WCC, so now we should all just move on.
Yea right.
The Roast this week waits for Zee to put her election returns and costs in. And then we’re going to look through every ad, post, every bit of media, sign, banner, car, meeting, printing, meeting room hire.
That should be interesting. EVERYTHING.
The ROAST also looks at Campbell Barry’s history of playing in the shadows and supporting people in the dark arts — achieving the result as a leader by any means possible, but not being seen.
Only heard in the Roast whispers. 👀
Also in the Roast this week, we look at Andrew Little and his total dominance of the region with:
Total dominance! If the Commerce Commission needed anything resembling a cartel — look no further.
“Do” Little can do whatever he likes. 💰 $9 billion in income over the next six years gives “Do” Little carte blanche, and puts him in charge of redundancies too.
We doubt Andrew “Do L” has ever laid anyone off in his life. But upon closer inspection — he did lay some staff off in the GFC to save the Unions.
So that leaves 5,000 staff in five councils, and billions in income, no layoffs, little to no efficiencies. That’ll be interesting to watch. 👀
